Dental Veneers/ Laminates

Veneers, also called Porcelain Veneers or Laminates, are extremely light and thin shells made of porcelain. They are a quick and non-invasive way to cover the front surface of your teeth.

These Dental veneers are customized to your teeth to enhance their colour, shape, size, and length. Ceramic veneers last much longer than composite veneers and are also better at resisting stains. They look just like our natural teeth due to their light-reflecting nature, similar to natural teeth.

What Type of Problems Can Be Fixed by Ceramic Veneers?

  • Stains on your teeth due to foods, beverages, tooth injury or medications
  • Chipped teeth
  • Misaligned or unevenly shaped teeth
  • Worn down teeth
  • Spaces between teeth

What Is the Procedure for Getting Ceramic Veneers?

At THE TOOTH CORNER, we prioritize our patients above all else. We begin by understanding Patient’s expectations and setting personalized goals to ensure your treatment meets your unique needs.

  • After examining your mouth, the dentist will prepare the front surfaces of your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel. This ensures a strong bond and a proper fit for the veneers.
  • Next, the dentist will take impressions of the prepared teeth. These impressions are sent to a lab where your custom veneers are crafted.
  • Temporary veneers may be placed on your teeth to protect them while the permanent ones are being made.
  • Once the permanent veneers are ready, the dentist will attach them to your teeth using a bonding agent. This procedure typically does not require anesthesia.
  • The dentist will make any necessary adjustments to ensure the veneers fit comfortably and look natural.
  • A follow-up appointment may be scheduled to ensure the veneers are functioning properly.

What Are the Benefits of Getting Veneers?

  • Veneers help to improve the appearance of your smile by correcting issues like discolouration, uneven teeth, spacing, chips and cracks.
  • Veneers look and function completely like natural teeth and make the patient’s smile look beautiful and natural.
  • Veneers have the ability to not get stained from coffee, tea, or foods with colouring agents. This ability helps you have a bright and natural-looking smile.
  • Veneers are durable and last long if taken care of well.
  • Unlike other Dental procedures, the process of getting veneers is minimally invasive as it requires very little tooth preparation. They help to preserve as much tooth structure as possible.
  • Veneers are made with the help of impressions taken of your teeth. This custom-made approach gives results only meant for your smile.
  • The process of getting veneers is very quick and can be done in just a few Dental visits.
  • Veneers make your smile look beautiful and natural and help boost your confidence. They allow you to smile freely and feel good about how you look.

Maintenance of Veneers

  • Brush your teeth twice a day using a soft toothbrush and floss once daily to remove food particles and plaque from around your veneers.
  • While brushing, use a non-abrasive and gentle toothpaste to avoid any scratching or damage to the surface of the veneers.
  • Avoid eating hard or sticky foods that can damage your veneers. Eat soft foods and cut the food into smaller pieces. Avoid biting down on hard objects like pens, ice, or fingernails.
  • If you are an athlete or play rough sports, wear a mouthguard to protect your veneers. If you grind your teeth at night while sleeping, wear a mouthguard then too.
  • Lessen your consumption of tea, coffee, and foods that can stain your veneers over time.
  • Visit your Dentist regularly to keep a check on the health of your veneers and ensure they are functioning well.
  • If you notice any issue with your veneers, meet your Dentist immediately
